It has been few years since our last effort to help victims of a natural disaster but the time has come again. We received an e-mail from a good friend today that really touched our hearts. His family is from a small farming community that was devastated by the tornados in Alabama late last week. Once again we have a community that is without the everyday items that we sometimes take for granted. They are not expecting to get power back to the community for at least 6 weeks. For some reason, the national media coverage has been reluctant to show just how devastating things are in Alabama, a state that has already been hit hard by the economy. Many of our customers have been asking how they can help!
The folks Abilene Motor Express will be dropping an empty tractor trailer at Old Dominion Insulation on May 3, 2011. We would like to get this trailer FULL by Friday May 6, 2011 with items from the the list below. This would make sure that the driver could make the trip in time for the folks from surrounding communities to unload.
We will have a pick up truck in both of our showrooms for donations.
Any cash donations will be used to buy pallets of canned food and/or water.
Please help us get this truck loaded before Friday. We will unload palletize all items rain or shine. Please feel free to get your church involved.
